Lost but Okay

I cannot believe that I just let a 56 buck-opportunity be thrown away just like that. Blame it on my procrastinating habit, poor time management and sometimes, letting the lazy bug stay more than it should in my system. Now, with more Movie Channels, we do not spend so much on theatre and movie houses fees as well as DVD rentals. You know DH and I are movie addicts hee hee. As for me, I should learn self-control wisely and learn that I can enjoy my TV time when I am done with my tasks. Besides, I can always record my favorite TV Shows and movies, right?

Christmas Shopping and Shoes!

Would you believe that I got most of my Christmas list items from online shopping, particularly from this online store that has free shipping and returns, the Zappos? Yes, I did, from outerwear and winter jackets that I would give my brothers, specifically The North Face jackets down to the Winter Boots that I purchased for my bestfriend. I love how I could even squeeze in some purse shopping for me. Zappos has been known to provide professional and reliable customer service to their online clients. Not only that, they also have the best rates online.

Women and Their Styles

For my husband, Clothing for Women are such complicated stuff. But for me, I find it both challenging and an expression of oneself. Do you know that even if our lingerie could not be seen, we still make it a point to check the latest fashion trends and wearing the proper lingerie??? You see, if you are a lady who wants to just use any kind of dress as long as you are comfortable and then women's clothing styles is not such a big deal for you but if you are like me who would think a gazillion of times before putting together a set of women's clothes then you would benefit from online shops that does comparative shopping reviews. I like how certain online shops would put together tips and information for women's clothing and how they could match it with their daily lifestyle. Of course, they give importance to the budget and the economic issues that we all are experiencing that is why they have their own comparative prices along with their reliable reviews.

Patience is a Virtue

I have so many good things to share to all of you but I would have to reserve that in a separate entry. Good things have been coming my way because probably my change in disposition and swaying my perspectives into positivity takes out the good side in me. Because of this, finances are also in the right places, slowly falling down in its proper places and we have some funds to buy gold and finally invest on gold coins. I have mentioned in my previous entries that investing in gold has become to be the most popular choice of investment these days. People buy gold bullion to trade them and eventually make their money grow and turn them into a pot of gold. As you see, gold never depreciates in value so you are assured on a positive investments. Who knows those sleeping money will give you bigger pots of gold in the future.

Get Educated, Move Forward

Education is very much important. I have proven it myself, having a bachelor’s degree even gives you difficulties in finding the right job that will suit your knowledge and the degree you’ve studied for several years. Some companies even want master’s degree graduates to fill in their company positions. US Department of Education wants their citizens gain education. As I heard from a friend, they offer study now pay later programs. There are articles in The Chronicle, that somewhat encourage youth to educate themselves like this specific article, Apprenticeship Programs Expand With Help of Community Colleges. This program will help our youth to have a meaningful life in the future. There are lots of universities that offer financial support to their students.

A New Leaf

I have turned over a new leaf. I have decided that starting today I make my health a priority. I have been dodging the doctor for quite some time. I have been saying no to nutrition and no to exercise for far too long. Today is the day I decide to start doing things right and that begins with some simple steps. The first thing I know I need to do is to make sure I have a clean bill of health (or at least know what I need to worry about), so I’m making a appointment to see a doctor. I figure if there is something to worry about I need to know before I start an exercise program. I know I need to make sure that I’m being medicated if there is an issue with my blood pressure. I need the reassurance. It's important. The next thing I need to do is get back to the gym. It’s important not to load myself up with idealistic expectations. I would love to work out for an hour every single day but I know I can’t live up to that expectation. Instead I am shooting for 3 good workouts a week. Two days of cardio and 1 day of strength training. It’s important to have goals. The rest of the week will be devoted to taking the stairs and parking away from the door at public places. The diet is going to be key. It has to be. Everything in your quest to be healthy is about what you put into your body. If you want to enjoy life and the riches it has to offer, you need to be body-conscious and know what you are putting into it. If I take care of myself I will be around long enough to enjoy the dream of living in New York luxury apartments.

Full Circle

For the past days, I cannot help but reminisce my good old days and all sorts of memories down the lane. My happiest were highschool days, first employment post and of course, working for the Embassy of Canada. Those were the years of my life were true friendships were etched and formed. It's funny that those friendships were developed in Lockers room, nope not the malicious type but the Locker room has proven to be the best place to converse and catch up with my girlfriends. Then it got me thinking that my preschooler formed his young friendships too while they are busy packing and unpacking their stuff in their School Lockers. Their preschool has cool Gym Lockers, I might say. I guess locker rooms have this relaxed ambience that make conversation easy and enjoyable. So yes, we all come in full circle, don't you notice?

Destressing with Greens

I had a rough day yesterday, too rough that I ended up being unproductive. I wasted another day. But I just had to deal with my pride once again or else my blog posts will end up to be all about rants. Anyways, with the way things are going on the homefront, I guess DH and I should pursue our goal to have a mini garden set up in the patio. We planned to buy barbeque tools and even a couple of hammocks if the townhouse administrator permit. You see, my mom told me that the best stress reliever in the world is communing with nature. Exploring your garden and even talking to your plants and flowers. I guess I just have to do that next time. I am not a garden lover moreso a green thumb but after reading some benefits online, I am convinced that this is one of the things I would be needing to destress and divert rough days. How about you, how do you destress?
